Trail Riding

At Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch you'll ride a better horse. Our large, registered animals are well-trained, well-fed and well-conditioned. We're proud of the quality of our horses and and tack. Our custom made leather saddles, equipped with the Bradford STI Break-away stirrups, have been carefully selected with your comfort and safety in mind.

At Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch we emphasize small group rides with personalized attention. Our rides will generally depart early morning and early evening to enhance both the enjoyment of horse and rider and to allow for optimum viewing of wildlife.

For the novice rider, basic skills will be taught by one of our qualified wranglers. Experienced Guides accompany all rides. Children must be seven years old to ride, one rider per horse, and there is a 230 pound weight limit to ride. Two hour minimum. Reservations with credit card deposit strongly recommended. A $5 per horse saddling fee will be imposed for all late cancellations (four hours or less) or no shows!

Rates per Person:

2hr ride...................$40 4hr w/lunch..............$80
3 hr ride..................$60 6hr w/lunch..............$120

Steak dinner ride.....$59 Includes two hour trail ride and a steak dinner with all the fixins' back at the ranch. Minimum of 6 guests needed to schedule a steak dinner ride.
